§ 22-280. Definitions.

As used in this article, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings indicated:

Person shall mean an individual, association, or any legal entity.

Vehicle for hire shall mean a motor vehicle, operated by a professional driver, that is engaged in the business of carrying passengers for hire on trips that originate in the city, and that end in the city or at the regional airport, and (without limitation) includes limousines, shuttles, and taxicabs; but does not include transportation provided by the city to elderly or handicapped citizens.

VIN shall mean the vehicle identification number.
