§ 87-18. Final plat process.

  • (a)

    General submission.

    (1)

    The submittal process for a final plat shall be identical with that of the preliminary plat with the following exceptions:

    a.

    The final plat shall be drawn in accordance with departmental requirements.

    b.

    After notice is given by the planning department following technical review, the applicant shall submit copies of the revised final plat of the proposed subdivision for planning commission review in accordance with departmental requirements.

    (2)

    When the plat has been approved by the board of directors, five copies shall be returned to the applicant with the signature of the secretary of the planning commission and the city clerk certification thereon. All five copies shall be filed stamped by the Benton County Circuit Clerk and one shall be filed as the official plat of record. Two of the file stamped copies shall be returned to the planning department. The remaining recorded plats containing the certification of the planning commission and board of directors shall be returned to the applicant for his records.

    (3)

    Approval of the final plat by the board of directors shall constitute acceptance by the city of the dedication of streets or other public infrastructure.
